Coleen Sessions, 88, of Flora, IL passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at her home in Flora.

Coleen was born December 5, 1924 in Xenia, IL to Charles L. and Bessie (Coatney) Deain. She married Charles “Ike” N. Sessions on December 24, 1946 in Xenia, IL. Coleen had worked and was retired from Sparton Manufacturing. She was a member of McCabe General Baptist Church where she was very involved with supporting the church over the years by serving as past treasurer of the church and a member of the McCabe Ladies Aide. Coleen was also a member of Home Extension and loved sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting along with spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband: Charles “Ike” Sessions of Flora; a son: Jay (Karen) Sessions of Cisne; a grandson: Cory (Kristina) Sessions of Geff; a great-granddaughter: Jasmine Sessions of Geff; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson (Chris Sessions), and 2 sisters (Eilene Woods and Moine Windle).

The funeral service for Coleen Sessions will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home. The family has asked that memorial donations be made to McCabe General Baptist Church.
