Daniel E. Ferry, age 81, of Iuka, IL (formerly of Xenia and Chicago) died at 6:05 AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Salem Township Hospital in Salem, IL.

He was born November 19, 1930 in Milwaukee, WI to John and Agnes Ferry. He married Molly Lindsey in 1970 in Chicago. Dan worked for Sears and PTI as a truck driver and was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going fishing, and always looked forward to planting a vegetable garden each year.

He is survived by his former wife, Molly Lindsey of Iuka; a son, David Ferry; and a brother, David (Pat) Terry of Beaver Dam, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers (Jack and Tom).

A memorial service for Daniel Ferry will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 PM until time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. The family has requested that memorial donations in Dan’s memory be made to Fur A Good Paws and will be accepted at the funeral home.
