Clay City, IL - Kamden Dale Blanchard, age 4 months, left to be best buds with Keegan in Heaven at 4:45 PM on Friday, July 13, 2012 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born on February 23, 2012 in Effingham to Corrinna (Sturm) Blanchard and Denny D. Blanchard who survive. Also surviving is his sister: Kamryn Ledbetter; maternal grandmother: Kim Fuentes (fiancé Tim Hostettler) of Clay City; maternal grandfather: Mike Sturm of Clay City; paternal grandparents: Connie and Doug Wilson of Union, MO; maternal great-grandfather: Jerry Forth of Flora; maternal great-grandmother: Carol (Tony) Myers of Flora; uncles and aunt: Skyler DeVore, Tyler Fuentes, Nicholas, Anthony and Allison Sturm all of Clay City, Chris Buzzard and Blake Naylor both of Missouri; along with other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother (Christina Sturm), maternal great-great-grandmother (Weta Forth), and paternal great-great-grandparents (John and Lois Sturm).

Kamden loved his big sister, fire trucks, fudge pops, and swimming in the pool this summer.

A graveside service for Kamden Blanchard will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Clay City Cemetery, Clay City, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until 11 AM at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora. The family has suggested that memorial donations in Kamden’s memory be made to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
