Marie Dell Van Dyke, age 88, of Louisville, IL passed away at 12:35 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at her home in Louisville.

She was born August 16, 1923 in Flora, IL to J. I. and Susie Dell Hornbuckle. She married Robert L. “Bob” Van Dyke on April 4, 1945 in Flora, IL. Marie was a member of the Louisville Christian Church and the Louisville American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bob Van Dyke of Louisville; a son, Steve (Ann) Van Dyke of Mt. Vernon; a daughter Ann (Mark) Lane of Louisville; grandsons: Tad (Mandy) Van Dyke of Mt. Vernon, Clay (Yuko) Van Dyke of Japan, Jacob (Erin) Wendling of Watson, and Brooks Lane of Flora; granddaughters: Shawn (Mark) Pitts of Frederick, MD, and Morgan Lane of Flora. Marie was also blessed with great grandchildren Falyn, Addison, and Issac Van Dyke, Hayden, Melia, and Elijah Wendling.

As was her wish, she will be cremated. There will be no services. A private disposition of cremains will take place at a later date. The Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, is handling the arrangements.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Clay County Community Health Foundation – Hospice designation through the Clay County Health Department.
